Prof. Dr. Jan K.G. Dhont

Jan Dhont studied physical chemistry and completed his dissertation in 1981 at the Utrecht University, The Netherlands. As a post-doc in Germany, he spent two years at the University of Konstanz in the theoretical soft matter group of Prof. R. Klein. In 1987 he was appointed as an associate professor at the Utrecht University in The Netherlands. Since 2000, Dhont is director at the Institute for Solid state Physics (IFF) at the Research Centre Jülich and Professor of Physics at the University of Düsseldorf.
