In May 2011, fellows and faculty members went for a retreat to Bonn. Lectures and workshop took place in the modern building of caesar, where our group that works on Molecular Sensory Systems is located. On the first day, lectures about good scientific conduct were given by Prof. Löwer, DFG Ombudsman from the university in Bonn, and Prof. Kaupp, a member of the IHRS-BioSoft faculty. In the evening of the first day, a BBQ and a feedback session took place. On the second day, we had a collaboration workshop and went for a hike in Siebengebirge, a hilly region with wood and nice viewpoints for the valley of the river Rhine.
